Aston Martin seems to be readying quite a few new models.

Earlier this week spy photographers caught the British automaker testing a hotter DB11 S and the DB11 Volante convertible, and now we have shots of the next-generation Vantage V8.

At first glance, it looks like the Aston Martin DB11, but a closer look reveals it’s smaller and is a true two-seater compared to the DB11’s 2+2 format. The next-gen sports car will ride on a shortened version of the DB11’s aluminum platform and is believed to be slightly longer, wider and lower than the current Vantage.

Look for the Aston Martin Vantage V8 to be powered by an AMG-sourced 4.0-liter V8, likely with two different power stages for shoppers to choose from. The all-new 5.2-liter V12 from the DB11 should also find its way under the hood on a more powerful variant, like the current Vantage V12. Standard transmission will likely be a six-speed manual, while an automatic transmission is a possibility.

The coupe model should debut by fall 2017 and you can expect to see the convertible version following sometime next year.
