The 2017 model year MINI lineup is getting new equipment and high-tech features.

Inside the cabin, all MINI models receive upgraded instrument dials that are said to improve clarity and new graphics, while at nighttime, they will appear in white instead of orange. That color scheme carries over to the head-up display during nighttime driving as well. Owners will also be able to store the head-up display’s height setting on a personal profile on the key, along with the settings for the seats and mirrors.

Switching between driving modes is now done through a toggle switch found underneath the air conditioning controls and a new fuel level display has been added.

A new tech feature on the three- and five-door hatch and convertible models is alertness assistant. Working together with the MINI Navigation or MINI Navigation XL, alertness assistant continuously analyzes how the car is driven and if the system feels that the driver is losing concentration, it will encourage them to take a break by displaying a graphic on the screen.

Lastly, for the 2017 MINI updates, Apple CarPlay will be available on the Countryman and Clubman with the Media Pack XL or Tech Pack.

All upgrades will be available starting July 2017.
