Lincoln has once again tapped actor Matthew McConaughey for a new advertisement campaign, this time for the Continental.

The released commercial, called “Crafted,” is just the first in a campaign that Lincoln is launching for its new flagship. A shimmering glacial plain in Iceland stars as the backdrop for much of the series, though some of it was shot in Los Angeles. Not only did Lincoln bring in some serious acting talent, the commercial series was directed by Wally Pfister, known for his work on “The Dark Knight” and “Inception.”

Lincoln calls all of the spots in this campaign unconventional, saying that each highlights a distinct quality of the Continental. In the case of “Crafted,” it shows off the back seat and highlights the chauffeur experience. Lincoln also previewed another one of the spots, entitled “Entrance,” that will show off a dramatic sweeping view of the front of the car.

One thing is for sure, after watching the new spot, you won’t doubt Lincoln when it says that the series is “unconventional.”
