The Italian automaker has unveiled the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Special Edition models.

Sixty years ago, Maserati introduced the 3500 GT at the Geneva Motor Show, the brand’s first Grand Touring production car. To celebrate, the company is offering Special Edition models based on the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Sport versions that will be limited to only 400 units. The main feature of the Special Edition models include a new Rosso Italiano three-layer paint that Maserati says reinterprets the red of Fangio’s 250F, the Formula 1 champion in 1957. There are also special 20-inch MC-design wheels with a Glossy Black finish that matches the Special Edition center caps.

Inside, the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Special Edition interiors revolve around Poltrona Frau leather or leather/Alcantara upholstery and new interior stitching available in four different combinations. Other interior details include carbon fiber door sills with the Special Edition logo, as well as a dedicated plate commemorating the anniversary and the limited production run of 400 units.

2017 Geneva Motor Show Coverage

Joining the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio Special Edition models at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show is the Levante Show Car, featuring the conceptual Ermenegildo Zegna 100-percent silk fabric in the cockpit. The Italian fashion company has developed a new silk fabric specifically for Maserati, featuring a heightened soft touch effect in a new beige shade. That beige silk fabric has been paired with full premium beige leather on the front and rear seats, and can also be seen with a “Nattè” pattern on the door panels. A “Jersey” pattern is used for the roof lining and sun visors and a dedicated label sporting the E. Zegna logo highlights the luxurious interior.

Visitors to the 2017 Geneva Motor Show will also get to check out Maserati’s complete lineup of vehicles, including the Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans.
