CARS.COM — What's better than Uber delivering puppies? Nada. What comes close is Lyft's Taco Mode, which will bring ride-share customers to a Taco Bell drive-thru faster than you can say, "free Doritos Locos."

The bueno: The in-app option for Lyft riders will add a Taco Bell stop to your trip and include a free Doritos Locos taco when you ride-thru the drive-thru on the way to your next destination. The not-so-bueno: Taco Mode will only be available in Orange County, Calif., from July 27-30, and again from Aug. 3-6, during the prime munchies hours of 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
In a statement, Lyft said the feature will expand to additional markets by year's end with a nationwide rollout in 2018, but the company didn't confirm where taco fever will strike next. Now all we need is for Uber to bring back last year's ice cream delivery stunt for the ultimate munchies-busting ride.
