The 2019 Ram 1500 has leaked ahead of its debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week.
The above image, which was posted to Reddit’s /r/cars forum by user /u/KnightsSoccer82, shows the overhauled 2019 Ram sitting on what looks to be the floor of Chrysler’s Warren Assembly plant. As spy photos revealed, the new Ram will adopt a slicker, more modern-day exterior appearance than the outgoing truck and will also ditch the Dodge-era crosshair grille.

Available engines in the new Ram 1500 should be Fiat Chrysler’s 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine, along with its 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 should return, and we could also see a hybrid version arriving at some point in the truck’s lifecycle with FCA’s 2.0-liter turbo under the hood. The ZF-designed, FCA-built eight-speed automatic transmission found in a bevy of the company’s other products is expected to make an appearance as well.
We’ve already gotten an exclusive look at the interior thanks to a leaked image sent to us by a tipster, and spy photos have revealed major portions of the cabin as well. A huge, Tesla-like display screen will be available in the truck, but FCA’s smaller UConnect-powered infotainment screens will be offered as well.
We’ll have full details on the 2019 Ram 1500 when it debuts in Detroit next week.
