has discovered a newJeep patent filing with the European Union Intellectual Property Office, giving us a sneak peak at the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Filed by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), the design patent shows what appears to be a Grand Cherokee, although it is clear that the back end is stretched out to accommodate a third row. The Grand Wagoneer is supposed to ride on a stretched version of the next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee’s platform, though other reports claim that the large SUV will ride on a version of the Ram’s platform.

The Grand Wagoneer is expected to push further into the luxury space, competing with existing vehicles like the Cadillac Escalade and various Land Rover offerings. Last year, Jeep CEO Mike Manley admitted that it could be possible that the new big Jeep SUV could push into the $130,000 to $140,000 territory, although he backpedaled slightly later saying that the price range will be closer to $60,000 to $100,000.

This will be the first three-row Jeep since the Commander was discontinued in 2010 and Jeep is trying to steal customers from aspirational brands like Land Rover.

It is believed the Jeep Grand Wagoneer will arrive by 2018 as a 2019 model year, though other reports say it could arrive by 2020.
