The production Acura NSX hasn’t even debuted, but that hasn’t stopped enthusiasts from securing one for when they’re available.
The NSX will be sold as a Honda model in the UK and according to a recent report, the Japanese automaker has already received 100 deposits of £3000 ($4,700) which means there’s enough demand to cover the NSX’s first-year allotment in the country. Dealers in the UK have been taking orders for the NSX for the past two years and has officially closed the order books on the limited-volume hybrid, which is expected to make its production debut at next year’s Detroit Auto Show.

If it’s any consolation, and we doubt it is, shoppers in the UK can now put their deposit and name down for the Honda Civic Type-R which is due in showrooms in August or September 2015. Again, dealerships will need £3000 to secure a Civic Type-R, which should be a nice hot hatch for Europeans to enjoy.
