In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Chevrolet Trucks, the brand has developed special Centennial Editions of both the Colorado and Silverado.

The special editions are tame but tasteful, featuring vintage touches and a special dark blue paint scheme. Both trucks will wear a special navy blue bowtie with the word Chevrolet spelled out, throwing back to the badge that adorned the first Chevy truck in 1918. The badge features on the front and rear fascias, along with appearances on both front doors, the bedliner, and the floor mats.

Completing the look of the Centennial Edition trucks is plenty of brightwork, including the door handles, tow hooks, and mirror caps. The Silverado will get a set of 22-inch painted wheels with chrome inserts, while the Colorado gets a similar set albeit in 18-inch diameter.

Those interested in the special edition trucks should note that the package will only be offered on crew cab LTZ Z71 Silverados and Z71 Colorados in either extended or crew cabs.

“The Silverado and Colorado Centennial Editions are a result of collaboration between Chevrolet Design, Engineering and Marketing, to commemorate the history of Chevy Trucks,” said Rich Scheer, Chevrolet Trucks director of Exterior Design. “Both vehicles offer our most enthusiastic fans a way to demonstrate their love for Chevy Trucks and celebrate the Chevy Trucks Centennial with us.”

Look for the trucks to begin arriving in dealerships this fall, with the Silverado expected sometime during October and the Colorado expected to follow in November.
