Facelifted BMW M4 Spied Testing Alongside Aggressive Special Edition Model

It appears BMW is working on another limited-edition M4 model.

Spy photographers have caught two BMW M4 prototypes testing, one being the standard M4 sporting the upcoming facelift, while the other appears to be an aggressive special edition which could be called the M4 CSL, or possibly just the CS.

On the white BMW M4 CS prototype, we see a front lip spoiler being concealed by camouflage while the hood is more sculpted with an air outlet similar to the GTS. The photographers also noted that BMW is using 19-inch wheels up front and 20-inch wheels in the rear to go along with the larger rear spoiler hiding under more camouflage.

All those changes indicate that the white prototype is not just the standard M4 facelift, but rather a different version. The big question remains if it will see a boost in performance or if it will be simply aesthetic changes.

The red prototype spied testing is the standard facelift that will be revealed soon, based on how little camouflage is remaining on the car. BMW is still trying to hide the details of how the headlights will change with the faclift, but it’s becoming more clear the changes won’t be significant. Expect different tail lights as well, since camouflage can still be seen concealing what’s going on in the rear.
