It might be time to take Elon Musk’s Boring Company seriously. It’s not at all.
It has barely been two weeks since Musk first shared his vision on how to alleviate traffic in Los Angeles with his newest company called The Boring Company. Using a network of underground tunnels and having vehicles zip around on electric sleds, passengers could travel without having to deal with ground-level traffic at speeds up to 124 mph. Of course, the video Musk shared was entirely computer generated and seemed like something out of a science-fiction movie, but he’s already making progress.

The Tesla CEO has shared a video on Instagram showing off a test run of an electric sled that would be used to transport vehicles underground. He warns that the video could cause motion sickness or seizures as it zooms through a dark tunnel with lights. There’s no actual speedometer to indicate how quickly the sled is going, but it’s likely it’s well over 100 mph based on how it’s moving.
[Warning, this may cause motion sickness or seizures] This is a test run of our electric sled that would transport cars at 125 mph (200 km/h) through the tunnels, automatically switching from one tunnel to the next. Would mean Westwood to LAX in 5 mins.
