New spy photos are in showing the upcoming Honda Civic.
This Honda Civic Hatchback mule was spotted on the streets of Germany, wearing British registration plates and an Acura front end. At the back end, styling mimics the current Civic hatchback, though from the hood to the back axle it appears to be an Acura ILX. This is assumably a Civic prototype, although based on looks, it may just be a powertrain or electronics mule that was cobbled together to hide its true intent.
Styling for the new Civic was recently teased by a concept that was shown at the 2015 New York Auto Show, revealing an angular aggressive look. The new Civic is expected to be lighter and larger than its predecessor, which will help fill a gap in some European markets where the Accord will be discontinued. An all-new platform will underpin the new Civic, which will be now be a global vehicle.
