Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has been caught testing a Chrysler 300 with a little secret.
Seen in these photos is a 300 prototype wearing wide fender flares, but most importantly, the spy photographer claims that after following the car for some time, there is almost certainly a Hellcat under the hood.
Another tip pointing towards the powertrain are the P315/40R18 wheels and tires that are fitted, the exact same size as those seen on early Dodge Demon mules.

If this proves true, that means a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with over 700 horsepower will be providing the motivation. It could be as much as 757 hp if FCA uses the tuned version of the engine found in the new Dodge Demon, or it could be the paltry 707 hp offered in the standard Hellcat.
The real question is whether or not the 300 SRT will be returning to the US market, as currently it is only sold in the Middle East. We reached out to Chrysler to see if they have anything to say about the 300 SRTs possible return and have yet to hear back.
