The Chevy Trax certainly isn’t the first vehicle you think about taking off road, but the American brand wants to change that perception at the 2016 SEMA Show.
The Trax Active Concept starts with a lifted suspension and a wider track. Getting power to the ground are 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires while the front and rear fascias were redesigned to provide tougher looks and to increase approach and departure angles. Fender flares complete the off-road look.
2016 SEMA Coverage
On the roof there is a Thule roof basket and a custom LED light bar while the Trax Activ is finished in Satin Sandstorm with red tow hooks and Carbon Flash rockers and fenders. Inside, a jet black interior complements the all-weather floor liners.
Like all of Chevy’s other SEMA concepts, the brand says that it will see how the car is recieved by the public and then decide whether or not it should make it to production.
