The Chevy Colorado is about to get a whole lot better when heading off road.
Engineers at Chevrolet are working on the new Colorado ZR2 and spy photographers captured the truck running around the desert. The most obvious change is a redesigned front fascia that will increase the truck’s approach angle, while out back the bumper has also bee redesigned to allow for a greater departure angle.
The suspension will lift the body of the truck up as well, probably about 2 inches, while large off-road tires are accommodated by large wheel arch flares.

Both the 3.6-liter V6 and 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel engine will likely be offered with the truck.
On the inside, some badges and stitching may help to set the truck apart, but the changed will be minimal.
The Chevy Colorado ZR2 is expected to debut before the end of 2016.
