Did a Camaro Z/28 test mule just crash on Germany’s hallowed Nürburgring? Quite possibly, and we have the video to prove it.

The car in question, dressed in a swirly zebra pattern features a massive rear wing, huge wheels undoubtedly wrapped in gummy race tires and obvious aerodynamic enhancements up front. It looks totally ready to battle this legendary 13-mile circuit.

Unfortunately, in spite of those upgrades the “Green Hell” has still managed to claim another victim. This development Camaro didn’t have quite enough grip for one left-hand turn and the car slid off the tarmac and into a guardrail.

Fortunately, it doesn’t appear as though anyone was injured in this wreck and the vehicle looks like it’s still drivable. It’s likely the only victim here is a severely bruised ego.

Details about an upcoming version of the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 are scarce right now. We have no idea what might power this hopped-up ponycar, but the previous version featured a monstrous 7.0-liter LS7 V8 that was good for a mighty 505 horsepower. The new-generation Camaro is lighter than its predecessor so it could perform even better with a less-muscular engine.

In any event, check out this video of a suspected Z/28 circling the Nürburgring. And if you don’t feel like waiting, feel free to skip ahead to the 1:35 mark to witness the wreck, which actually sounds a lot worse than it looks, so crank up the volume.
