After dominating Europe, Callaway’s highly successful C7 Corvette GT3-R is heading to North American race tracks.
Engineered in-house, Callaway Competition will campaign a pair of GT3 homologated Corvettes in Pirelli World Challenge next year.
“Joining the Pirelli World Challenge has been a long‐term objective for Callaway Competition,” said Reeves Callaway in a statement.“Now the field is a roll‐call of the most capable sports cars from every country. To do well here, you must beat the best in the world. What better way to showcase our iconic American car?”

The two-car factory effort in 2018 is intended to showcase the car’s capability to North American teams after Callaway clinched the 2017 European ADAC GT Masters championship in convincing fashion. For 2019 and beyond, Callaway will withdraw its factory cars and instead support its roster of customer cars.
Callaway hasn’t announced its 2018 drivers yet, but the team promises to make an announcement following the official unveiling of the car at the Performance Racing Industry show in Indianapolis on December 7, at the Pirelli World Challenge booth.
