Cadillac is about to hop on on the compact crossover bandwagon.
Spotted testing in Lapland, Finland, this is believed to be the XT4, Cadillac’s answer to the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLC. Despite slotting in below the year-old Cadillac XT5, it’s presumed the XT4 will share a version of GM’s short-wheelbase C1XX crossover platform with its older sibling.
Few details are known about Cadillac’s plans for the XT4, but the shooters suggest it will steal a suite of safety and tech features from the XT5 and we also expect Cadillac’s latest iteration of CUE to be used.

It’s believed when the XT4 arrives for the 2019 model year it will be available with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine making close to 300-hp and it could feature GM’s new 9T50 nine-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of price, the XT4 should clock in somewhere between the low-to-mid $30,000 mark. Look for more info to become available as we get closer to its expected unveiling next year.
