Spy photographers have caught the upcoming Cadillac XT4 crossover testing along with the BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC models.
Not much is known about the 2019 Cadillac XT4, but it is believed to ride on the American automaker’s modular C1XX platform. Although the prototypes are still heavily camouflaged, it’s a bit less than the last time we saw the crossover testing. Expect it to feature Cadillac’s latest grille up front while borrowing cues from the recently unveiled XT5.
It’s little secret what models the XT4 will be competing with, as the American automaker is benchmarking the BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC alongside the XT4. It will be the brand’s compact luxury crossover offering, positioned beneath the XT5.

In order to stay competitive within the segment, expect pricing to be around the $32,000 range. Don’t be surprised to see features such as customizable ambient lighting, climate control, heated steering wheel and seats, as well as safety features such as stability control, blind spot monitor, and lane keep assist. Naturally the latest version of CUE will be found in the infotainment system.
As for powerplants, it’s likely a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will be used with around 272 horsepower, paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. But these are all rumors for now, as we can expect more details next year as Cadillac gets ready to expand its crossover portfolio.
