Buick plans to bring its Envision midsize crossover to the U.S. with sales starting late in 2016.

The Envision will fit into the lineup between the Buick Encore and Enclave. It is roughly the same size as the Chevy Equinox and will compete with other luxury midsize crossovers.

In China, the Envision uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 256 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque which might be the engine when it arrives in North America.

As for Buick’s other crossovers, the small Encore compact crossover will be redesigned in 2019, when it may also adopt the 2.0-liter turbo engine. The big Buick Enclave will be all new in 2017, when it moves over to a new lighter platform that will also underpin the Chevy Traverse.

Buick’s next introduction to the North American market will be the Cascada convertible, which will arrive in the first quarter of next year.

The Regal will be redesigned by mid-2017 and is set to grow to further differentiate it from the smaller Verano. It will likely use a small 1.5-liter turbo engine as its base option. A Regal wagon is also being considered for the U.S.

A new LaCrosse is also coming in 2017, riding on the same platform that underpins the new Chevy Impala.
