BMW has revealed a pair of M6 GTLM race cars for 2016, both of which celebrate the past with commemorative liveries.
Celebrating BMW’s 100th anniversary, one of the car’s will wear the number 25 and sport a classic-looking livery. The other M6 will be designated number 100 and will wear a livery that looks to the future of BMW motorsports.
The classic-inspired number 25 car takes its cues from a number of classic BMWs, including the famous No.25 CSL, the BMW M1, the V12 LMR and the M3 GT. Each one of these cars took home championships in their respective race leagues.

The No.100 car on the other hand looks to the future of BMW and includes interesting elements like lattice work that “has a significance that will become clear later this year” according to the brand.
Both of the cars will wear these liveries throughout the 2016 WeatherTech SportCar Championship, which kicks off with the 54th Rolex 24 at Daytona.
You can catch the car’s debut in Daytona at the Rolex 24, which starts rolling at 2:40pm on Saturday, January 30.
