BMW will likely be bringing the upcoming M4 GTS and an updated 3.0 CSL Hommage concept to Pebble Beach this year.
Attending one of the most prestigious motoring events in the world, one report says BMW might debut a thinly disguised version of the M4 GTS due out in the summer of 2016. As its name suggests, it will be a track-focused, limited-edition version of the M4 that will be stripped down for weight savings. Besides a lower curb weight, also expect to see serious suspension upgrades, a power increase from the twin-turbo inline six, a more aerodynamic body kit, and a huge wing. The M4 GTS will also use a new water injection system to keep the turbochargers cool.
Poll: Has BMW’s M Brand Lost Its Way?
BMW is also said to be bringing an updated version of its controversial 3.0 CSL Hommage that it debuted earlier this year in May, and teased with an image of a futuristic steering wheel. Cited as a one-off design study, the Hommage might indicate BMW’s intent to create a more hardcore supercar or give a preview of some new design language and technology that might make their way into future M cars.
We will be covering Monetery Car Week live, so come back to for all the details on August 13.
