With the Shanghai auto show fast approaching, Audi has released teaser videos of its latest electric concept car, which it plans to reveal on Wednesday.
The new concept features light-up Audi badges fore and aft, fancy new lights, and a “grille” with new bow-tie shaped indentations. The quotation marks around grille are there because the hexagonal frontispiece has no function, since this is an electric concept.
Audi has yet to reveal details about the concept, but it resembles the e-tron Sportback that was described back in March, when a report emerged detailing Audi’s electrification plan.

The e-tron Sportback is to be the second Audi electric vehicle released as part of the wider Volkswagen Group’s electric realignment, and will combine a high driving position with Audi’s sportback styling (halfway between a coupe and a hatchback).
The e-tron Sportback follows the e-tron, an electric SUV that Audi says will have a 300 mile range and will be more SUV-ish than the Tesla Model X, which it claims is more of a crossover.
If, indeed, this is the e-tron Sportback, you can expect to see the road-going version in dealerships in 2019.
