Spy photographers have once again caught the Audi RS5 testing near the Nurburgring.
Now that the German automaker has officially debuted the A5 and S5 models, the high-performance RS5 variant is all that remains to be tested and developed. And it looks as if it’s nearing production, as this prototype is sporting the correct wider front fenders and front bumper for the first time.
Don’t expect any huge surprises with the new Audi RS5 now that we’ve seen how the A5 and S5 looks. It will be slightly more aggressive up front with a protruding chin spoiler and a different design for the air intakes on the bumper. It also appears that in the rear, the RS5 will have a larger dual exhaust setup rather than the quad tips you see on the S5.

What is still unknown is the model’s powerplant, which will likely also be used under the hood of the new Audi RS4. Rumor has it that it will be a twin-turbo V6 mill sporting between 450 to 480 horsepower.
Expect to see the Audi RS5 to make its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show next March.
