The Audi RS3 sedan is officially heading to the U.S.
The German automaker confirmed the news at the Audi Summit for Audi of America employees event with YouTube user Ron Bolton uploading a video of the car’s debut. also reports that Audi of America director of product management, Philip Brabec, confirmed that the TT RS and RS5 will have successors, in addition of up to seven new RS models between now and 2019 including new body styles.

Sporting a wider body and all the styling elements that Audi RS models are known for, the RS3 sedan will be powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder aluminum engine that is capable of up to 400 horsepower. The model will come standard with “quattro all-wheel drive, high-performance brakes and racing suspension tuning,” the company said at the reveal.
It is believed that the powerplant will be mated to a seven-speed S-Tronic gearbox and options include Audi Virtual Cockpit and RS3 specific shell seats.
Given the timing of the announcement, it’s a possibility that Audi will introduce the RS3 sedan at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in early March. Stay tuned for more details when the company officially reveals the vehicle to the public.
