Audi has its eyes set on offering a coupe SUV like its German rivals.
Previewing the upcoming model is the Audi Q8 e-Tron Concept at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, featuring a sharp design, massive front grille, futuristic-looking headlights and no window frames. The production model will sit at the top of the German automaker’s SUV lineup as its name suggests and will head to dealerships in 2018. For now, the concept gives a good idea of what to expect, although we’ll get a clearer picture when the production model likely bows later this year.

The concept is powered by a plug-in hybrid system with a total output of about 442 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. All four wheels receive the power through an eight-speed automatic transmission, with the gasoline engine being a 3.0-liter V6 with 245 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque. Audi claims the Q8 e-Tron Concept is capable of an all-electric driving range of 37 miles and it can travel 621 miles on a full tank of gas and charge.
