It appears everything is on schedule for the drop-top Aston Martin DB11 to launch in spring 2018.
The British automaker isn’t really keeping the Aston Martin DB11 Volante a secret, making an official announcement on its development and showing off photos of the camouflaged convertible last year. Now, there’s quite a bit of camouflage removed from the prototype, revealing up to the doors with very little surprises since it’s based on the existing coupe. We do get a better idea on the styling for the rear end though and what little camouflage remains doesn’t do much to conceal details on the stunning convertible.

Like past Aston Martin convertible models, the DB11 Volante will have a folding fabric soft top, rather than a retractable hardtop. Expect it to feature the same powertrain as the DB11 Coupe, including the 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine sourced from AMG with 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Rumor has it that both the coupe and convertible models will get a more affordable V8 in its lineup.
