Acura is eyeing its own version of Honda‘s newest crossover.
Now that the production Acura NSX has bowed, Acura is turning its attention to its crossover and SUV lineup, which has become the trademark for the brand. With a refreshed RDX destined to debut at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show, rumor has it that the Japanese automaker is mulling its own version of the Honda HR-V, which made an appearance at last year’s LA Auto Show.

Considering the company sold nearly double the crossovers that it did cars last year, it’s no surprise Acura is considering adding another to its lineup.
Combine that with the growing crossover market and a luxury version of the HR-V could be a winner for Acura. If Acura’s HR-V variant does become reality, expect it to slot under the RDX in the current lineup, giving the brand an entry-level model to attract new buyers.
