Toyota is teasing its long awaited Yaris hot hatch which will take its inspiration from the brand’s new WRC race car.
Toyota Europe posted a teaser sketch showing what the Yaris hot hatch will look like, sporting some low skirts and even a hatch-mounted spoiler. It appears as though this car will also ride lower than the stock Yaris, while rumor has it that the car will be called the Yaris Gazoo, adopting the name from Toyota’s official race team.
Competing against the Ford Fiesta ST, the small Toyota should have around 200 horsepower, likely from a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with power going through the front wheels. A six-speed manual transmission is a likely option.

The car is supposed to debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March, while it will go on sale shortly afterwards in Europe. There is still no word on whether or not Toyota will bring this car to the U.S.
