It looks like Honda has revealed torque figures for the upcoming Civic Si.
The news comes from a forum member who posted an e-mail from Honda, claiming that the new car will produce 192 lb-ft of torque from its 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. Horsepower specs weren’t mentioned, but based on the torque number, the ponies should top 200.

In the base Civic, the little turbo engine makes 174 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, which climbs to 180 hp and 177 lb-ft in the sport model. That’s not a massive power difference, but the Si is no longer the top-dog Civic model in North America, a spot now filled by the Type R.
Those looking for a serious jump in power will have to go for the new Type R, which makes 306 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque from a larger 2.0-liter turbo engine.
The new Civic Si is expected to debut at the upcoming 2017 New York Auto Show, starting on April 12.
