2018 Chevy Traverse Teased in Shadowy Photo

Chevrolet is getting ready to reveal the 2018 Traverse at the upcoming 2017 Detroit Auto Show in January and the brand is teasing the big crossover in a shadowy photo.

The current Traverse debuted in 2008 as a 2009 model, so a full redesign for Chevy’s largest crossover was necessary. For its next generation, the Traverse is expected to offer even more space than the current model, with Chevy claiming that it will have the most third-row legroom in the segment.

The current Traverse shares its platform with the GMC Acadia, but the new 2017 Acadia downsized and migrated to a new platform, leaving the Traverse and GMC Enclave as the two largest crossovers in GM’s lineup.

Styling changes and new powertrain choices are also assured for the 2018 Traverse, with its look likely borrowing cues from the redesigned Chevy Equinox.
