2018 Acura ILX Lineup Adds Special Edition Model

The 2018 Acura ILX arrives tomorrow.

The entry-level luxury sedan is priced from $29,050 including destination, but for $800 more buyers can opt for the Acura ILX Special Edition that adds 18-inch wheels, side sills, and a rear spoiler from the A-Spec package. For the 2018 model year, all ILX trim levels come standard with Acura JewelEye LED headlights, an eight-way power driver’s seat, multi-view rearview camera, auto on/off headlights, one-touch moonroof, Bluetooth HandsFree Link, five-inch Multi-View Display, keyless smart entry with push-button start, security system, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

The AcuraWatch suite of active safety and driver-assistive technologies is available on all ILX models, costing $1,300 additional if added to the base model.

The ILX Premium, which starts from $31,050 includes leather seating surfaces, Blind Spot Information and Cross Traffic Monitor, HD Radio and Aha, driver’s two-position memory seat, front passenger four-way power seat, eight-inch upper display, seven-inch On-Demand Multi-Use Display touchscreen, HomeLink, and more.

The A-Spec package can be added to the Premium trim for $2,000 additional, which features sporty side gill garnishes, a decklid spoiler, front fog lights, 18-inch wheels, exterior A-Spec badging, Premium Black interior with black headliner, perforated black Lux Suede seat inserts, red instrument illumination, exclusive gray interior stitching, and aluminum brake and throttle pedals.

At the top of the range is the ILX Tech Plus, starting at $34,050. The Tech Plus trim adds AcuraWatch as standard equipment, along with a color TFT multi-information display, AcuraLink, Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition and AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic with Traffic Rerouting. The A-Spec package is also available on the Tech Plus trim for $2,000 extra.

All 2018 Acura ILX models feature a 2.4-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine with 201 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque while paired to an eight-speed dual clutch transmission. The sedan returns 25 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway for a 29-mpg combined rating.
