The 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport was officially introduced at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
In a way, the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is the American automaker’s way to offer Z06 performance to those that can’t afford a Z06. Using the standard 6.2-liter V8 engine with 460 horsepower, the Grand Sport variant does receive the Z06’s magnetic ride control system along with updated stabilizer bars and unique springs. Chevrolet also added an electronic limited-slip differential to the rear end. Larger Brembo brakes have been fitted to all four corners.

Those looking for even more excitement can add the Z07 package, which not only makes the Corvette even faster but adds carbon-ceramic brakes and stickier Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Cornering grip improves to 1.2g by adding the Z07 package, compared to the standard Grand Sport’s 1.05g. Even better, the automaker claims the new Grand Sport is about one second faster than the previous Corvette ZR1 on the company’s internal test track.
Look for the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport to arrive dealerships in the U.S. this summer.
