The 2017 BMW i3 benefits from a bigger battery, but its price has also increased $1,200.
The updated BMW i3 starts from $44,595 including destination compared to the 2016 BMW i3 that had a $43,395 price tag. But for the 2017 model year, the BMW i3 gets a 94 Ah battery and a 33-kWh battery pack that provides up to 114 miles of all-electric range, which is 33 miles more than the 2016 model.
Standard equipment on the 2017 BMW i3 include Deka World Interior Design Loft, no-cost DC Fast ChargeNow available for two years, advanced real-time traffic information, universal garage door opener, 19-inch wheels and Comfort Access.

Optional equipment on the 2017 BMW i3 include moonroof, protonic blue paint shade and dark oak wood trim. Opting for the range extender model will cost $3,850 additional.
Performance specifications on the 2017 BMW i3 remain the same, with total system output set at 170 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.
