Audi has dropped details on the 2017 S3, which gets a small power boost and a tougher look.
Power still comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine which has been boosted by 10 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque to 305 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. It is sent through a dual-clutch automatic transmission an on to all four wheels through Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system.
Audi says that all-wheel drive system has been specially revised for this car, presumably to send more power to the rear wheels to make it a little more fun to drive.
Up front, the S3 has a meaner face on it, characterized by new creases, hard corners and a larger grille. Overall, it adopts most of its looks from the new Audi A4 lineup.

Inside, the new S3 has adopted Audi’s large 12.3-inch TFT digital gauge cluster, which displays the vehicle’s vital stats along with plenty of other info. In the center stack, the same 7.0-inch hideaway display is fitted.
These specifications are all for the European version of the new S3, but when the car makes the trip to the U.S., it is most likely to stay the same.
