Acura’s popular three-row, luxury crossover received a nice update at the 2016 New York Auto Show.

The 2017 Acura MDX features the Japanese automaker’s new “Diamond Pentagon Grille,” a design element first seen on the Acura Precision Concept that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. A more sculpted hood goes along with the revised front bumper and fenders while the rear now sports a body-color garnish and dual exhaust tips.

The biggest changes to the 2017 Acura MDX come in the powertrain department, with the hybrid variant getting 35 more horsepower while improving city fuel economy by an estimated seven miles per gallon.

The 2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid features a 3.0-liter V6 engine paired to an electric motor. Power is sent to the front wheels through a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. Acura estimates that it will return 25 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

Look for the revised Acura MDX to arrive dealerships starting this summer while the hybrid model will be released later this year.
