The problem: Affected vehicles may exhibit an abnormal creaking noise coming from the panoramic sunroof when driving on uneven roadways when the sunroof is closed. This is due to the flex movement between the glass panel seal and the body.

  • 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI

Corrective action: Dealers will apply protective film to the vehicle body to insulate the glass from the body, after which they will road test the vehicle to confirm the noise is gone.
