The problem: Affected vehicles may display a check engine light, slight hesitation or reduced power during acceleration, erratic shifting from the transmission during acceleration or a clicking noise from the engine when engine speed is increased. On 2015 Sonatas only, the check engine light may illuminate, the electronic stability control warning light may illuminate or the car may exhibit limited engine power.

Corrective action: Dealers will update the engine control module software and possibly replace the vacuum control motor assembly if it fails the diagnostic test.
