2014 Acura ILX Hybrid Priced From $29,795

Acura’s under-the-radar ILX Hybrid will carry the same base price as it did last year, but there have been some minor price adjustments.

While $29,975 is still the starting price including delivery, Acura bumped the cost of its tech package-equipped model up by $200 to $35,495.

Mechanically unchanged for its second model year, the car still relies on Honda’s aging IMA mild hybrid system. The powertrain, which uses a 1.5-liter four cylinder and an electric motor creates 111 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque. EPA ratings suggest the vehicle should return 39 mpg in the city or 38 on the highway.

Questionable as it is to pay over $35,000 for what amounts to a fancier Civic Hybrid – roughly a $10,000 premium – the ILX actually crept up to beat every other Acura sedan in sales last month and through the first nine months of this year has topped the aging TSX.

The tech package adds an improved sound system, navigation, real-time traffic and weather updates and more.
