The problem: Customers may experience a condition in which, after the vehicle comes to a stop, it will no longer move; the transmission appears to be in Neutral, even though the transmission switch has not been moved. The gear position indicator on the gear selector and in the instrument cluster may flash "D" or "S." If the engine is turned off and restarted, vehicle operation returns to normal. Shifting into Neutral or Park and then Drive or Sport will also resume normal operation. An issue with the transmission control module software may be the root of the problem.

Corrective action: On affected vehicles, dealers will update the transmission control module software.
