AutoAfterWorld.COM — Vehicles affected by service bulletin:

  • 2010 Mazda CX-9

  • 2012 Mazda CX-9
  • 2013 Mazda CX-9
  • 2014 Mazda CX-9
  • 2015 Mazda CX-9

The problem: Drivers may experience noise due to a broken fuel tank insulator hanging down and contacting the driveshaft. This is due to the rivets that hold the insulator in place breaking when a load in the vehicle occurs. (The rivet material has since been changed to eliminate this condition.)

Corrective action: Dealers will replace the insulator and secure it with new rivets.

Warranty info: This repair is being done free of charge under the new-vehicle or extended warranty, whichever is applicable. If the vehicle is not covered under any warranty at the time of service, the owner will be responsible for the repair.
