The problem: The LEDs in one or both rear taillights may not illuminate when the brake is applied, or they may remain lit when the brake is not applied. This condition affects the taillamps independent of one another. The center high-mount stop lamp and turn signals are unaffected by the condition.

Corrective action: Dealers will replace improperly functioning taillamps as necessary.

Warranty info: The rear taillamp assembly warranty is being extended to 10 years or 150,000 miles from the original vehicle in-service date. If a vehicle has already exceeded the time or mileage limit by Oct. 1, 2015, coverage has expired. Coverage will be transferred to subsequent owners.

What owners should do: Call your local dealer with your vehicle's identification number to determine if it's involved in this warranty extension. You can also call Ford at 800-392-3673, Lincoln at 800-521-4140, or NHTSA at 888-327-4236. Reference TSB No. 14M03.
