The 1996 Audi Cabriolet 2.6 used in the film  is heading to auction.

Similar to the one owned by Princess Diana, this particular movie car will be sold by H&H Classics at the company’s next auction on May 18 at Donington Park. Featuring a Santorin Blue exterior with charcoal leather seats, the 1996 Audi Cabriolet 2.6 has 144,000 miles on the odometer.

The film  is based on Kate Snell’s 2001 book titled . It detailed Princess Diana’s love affair with Pakistani heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan that is believed to have lasted two years from 1995 until 1997.

The current owner of the vehicle went to H&H specifically because of the success Prince Philip’s Lagonda had when it sold for more than four times the previous record, fetching £350,000.

“It’s difficult to predict a price,” said Damian Jones, sales manager for H&H Classics. “The car was not owned by the Princess but was rather a star in a film. That said, we recently achieved a world record of £54,000 for a Ford Capri 3.0S, Bodie’s car from The Professionals.”
